A new adaptation is ready for inauguration in inauguration in N.Chamavaram village of Tuni Mandal, East Godavari in Andhra Pradesh.
In this case
SANA identified a village, which has no access to clean drinking water and where the power supply was irregular.
SANA involved the local Panchayat- with the co-operation of the DM. The Panchayat is a partner in the PPP model and representatives of the Panchayat have been trained by
SANA and its technology partner Sunsource, for the upkeep of the water station and the solar panels & water distribution. The funding for this social initiative has come from the MPLAD Scheme of the local MP and HRD Minister Shri MM Pallam Raju.
The water station converts 1.8 million litres of contaminated water into WHO standard potable drinking water for the local villagers.
The success of this model has been appreciated and
SANA has now been asked by the local authorities to identify at least another 50 villages to install similar water treatment plants in off grid areas for local villagers and install green bio-digester toilets so as to provide an integrated solution to address sanitation, basic hygiene and potable water in order to implement an integrated solution.
